Big sky 03:29
Looking for a way out, trying to stay afloat (If you're) looking for a way out, we're in the same boat You'll never stand in this world alone, if you don't keep asking why Take my hand and we'll fly, in the big sky.

If you're sitting comfortably, then I will begin There are tales that come from deep within They pass through generations, but repeat the same old story So listen now, it's time for Jackanory Some will end in tears, others create laughter, a story with no happy ever after, We sometimes stretch the truth, to help us cast our spell, These are the stories that we tell, these are the stories that we tell The words may be our own, but we're sticking to a script, Memories of the past can still play tricks But our stories are not set in stone, and we can change the ending Our future tales, they can be never-ending. Some will end in tears, others create laughter, a story with no happy ever after, We sometimes stretch the truth, to help us cast our spell, These are the stories that we tell, these are the stories that we tell

I'm kicking my heels, I'm missing you bad I want to move on cos it's time I'm hiding my feelings, I'm smiling not sad, And my friends all assume that I'm fine But the rain knows, it roars and it flows It smashes the hillsides and tides And the wind sees, my pain and my fears The wildness and sadness inside My life must move on, so I'm writing this song To try to explain where I'm at In time I'll be fine, at least that's the old line But right now this battery is flat And the rain knows, It pummels and throws the storm against tress and the ground, And the wind raves and hammers the waves I gasp on the shore, I'm half-drowned Well one day I know that I will be ok But for now I'll let the wind and the rain win today, I'll let the wind and the rain win today

Sleep, my little boy, though you are so far away Sleep, my little boy, I know I can't hold you today You don't know who I am, and you will do in time, in time You don't know who I am, and you will do in time Smile, my little boy, though you are so far away Smile, my little boy, I know I can't see you today I don't know who you are, and I will do in time, in time, I don't know who you are, and I will do in time Dream, my little boy, though you are so far away Dream, my little boy, I know I can't watch you today We don't know each other, and we will do in time, in time We don't know each other, and we will do in time, in time.

There was a warm wind up from the coast You turned your face away, that hurt the most Two cups of coffee going cold, you staring out the window Your eyes were cold as stone when you looked at me again, That was the moment when There was a whole lot of talking we had I thought I'd put this train back on the track But two nights by the coast counldn't fix the way you felt, I think that at the most you could have saved me from myself That was the moment when It was the moment when I knew, we'd done all we could do And though it hurt us so, it was time to let it all go I'd like to know what we had was good when we think about it all again But looking back I know that was the moment when She said you can't see what's in front of you You've got your eyes shut tight, and they're blinding you You'd better listen to me now, I won't repeat myself We're living in the past, we're lying to ourselves That was the moment when It was the moment we realised what came as no surprise And now we'd reached the end, we knew we couldn't pretend I'd like to know what we had was good when we think about it all again But looking back I know that was the moment when Looking back I know that was the moment when

Joking apart 03:48
I play the joker when you're not around Just like Smokey's Tears of a Clown But it's only so I can hide this tragic comedy inside Joking apart, on my sleeve there's no broken heart We bristled when we connected, but it died as we fell apart Joking apart, I'm no longer number one on your chart It's funny now to realise, in your life I was a walk on part, just a walk on part You were my funny valentine Now what feels funny is that you're not mine You said it wasn't any of your concern, When our love took such a funny turn Joking apart, on my sleeve there's no broken heart We bristled when we connected, but it died as we fell apart Joking apart, I'm no longer number one on your chart It's funny now to realise, in your life I was a walk on part, just a walk on part

Radar 03:06
Don't want to be remembered when I die All I'll be is dust upon the breeze I'm going make a difference in this life, and not worry about some distant legacy I'm flying under their radar, going to live this life as I please There's no point waiting for heroes, All we need is a few good ideas, all we need is a few good ideas Most things are best sorted out together But they'll always try to split us if we can But love and trust each other with compassion It's the weapon that no-one can ever ban So let's fly under their radar, we can live this life as we please There's no point waiting for heroes All we need is a few good idea, all we need is a few good ideas Don't want to be remembered when I die All I'll be is dust upon the breeze I'm going make a difference in this life, and not worry about some distant legacy So I'm flying under their radar, going to live this life as I please There's no point waiting for heroes, All we need is a few good ideas, all we need is a few good ideas

My mind's full of nothing, but everything tries to stick Going round in circles again, I can't make things tick I need time away just to stare into the blue Rekindle connection, bring us back into view Our home on wheels that holds our love in its grace In our space we've nothing left to face A smell of freedom, as we push out our ghosts Loving you on the road to the coast Loving you on the road to the coast We're drawn to the lines and the shaped they divide Clouds of steel grey dragged in by the tide The wind in our faces tried to tear us apart But only succeeds in saving this sorry heart Our home on wheels that holds our love in its grace In our space we've nothing left to face A smell of freedom, as we push out our ghosts Loving you on the road to the coast Loving you on the road to the coast

If love is letting go of fear That chimes with you but you're still quite scared If you're trying to live for the now You've got to let go of the past somehow You just live your little life, one step ahead of the wolf called hunger And then forget to live your life It's too late when you're six feet under When we don't grow then danger lurks Which direction in the quest for justice? And know that sometimes protest works The law is not a moral compass We just live your little lives, one step ahead of the wolf called hunger And then forget twhy we're alive It's too late when we're six feet under If love is letting go of fear That chimes with me but I'm still quite scared If I'm trying to live for the now I've got to let go of the past somehow I just live my little life, one step ahead of the wolf called hunger And then forget to live my life It's too late when I'm six feet under

I've travelled half the world, lived with its delights The strange the wonderful, the lows and the heights The birds may stay but I'll go of that I'm sure To see the sea you've got to leave the shore The earth's a book and I can't read just one page We're all actors and the world is our stage Among the desert stands a lonely city stands That's where I want to go while I still can These places round the world all sing a different tune My favourite place is where I am with you The world may be my oyster, I want you with me too My favourite place is where I am with you I'm older now but there's so much more to see I'll leave tiresome routine of these drab old streets If the world's an inn, then I am just a guest I'll drink it in before I take my rest I'd like to rise and go where golden apples grow The ne, the unknown is the only way I know Give me a clear cold day, a blast if icy air I'll show you a heart that's free of care These places round the world all sing a different tune My favourite place is where I am with you The world may be my oyster, I want you with me too My favourite place is where I am with you

Bitter times 04:54
Spray painted on the bridge is an ode to better times Among the filthy brambles, under darkened skies A young man stares alone, with damp clothes torn to rags His whole life and his dreams are stuffed into his sleeping bag He came up from the south coast to seek a better way The hopes he dragged along with him were dashed within a day A tiny pill leads to a pale and bitter end His anger has just petered out, he's too tired to pretend Bitter times, bitter times, it's all there is in view There's plenty for the many, but it's taken by the few Bitter time bitter times, they're playing on repeat How can we turn these bitter times to sweet? How can we turn these bitter times to sweet? In the midday heat lies a skinny sack of bones His mum and dad were taken out out by the yankee drones The village where he was raised is just a heap of dust and every side assures the people that their cause is just His bother is a fighter, he wants someone to blame He joins the race to seek revenge in his brother's name But the ones he really needs to meet are safely hid away His anger will not disappear, he'll get even some day Bitter times, bitter times, it's all there is in view There's plenty for the many, but it's stolen by the few Bitter time bitter times, they're playing on repeat Only we can turn these bitter times to sweet Only we can turn these bitter times to sweet Only we can turn these bitter times to sweet
